Our Community Partners are the recipients of our backyard harvests. Being a community partner with the VFTP means supporting local efforts to reduce backyard food waste and being part of a network of organizations that celebrate the value of accessibility to fresh fruit. The fruit can be used for community kitchens, drop-in programs or daycares, direct distribution, or any other community activity!
The harvests you receive are based on the proximity of the pick site to your location as well as your listed preferences for fruit, and will vary throughout the season.

What Our Partners Are Saying
"Britannia Community Centre has always appreciated Vancouver Fruit Tree donations, helping to offset the costs and availability of fresh organic produce. Increasingly as food prices rise, the demand is increasing here at the centre and I often have the various programs inquiring about more fruit. Many children in our program are on subsidy and their families struggling with food security. The additional donated fruit is hugely appreciated especially in that it is quality organic food, [which is] often not available for these families."
"Over the summer the project has donated boxes of apples, pears and plums. ELS is an 18 unit mental health housing facility. We have historically tried to meet our residents needs the best we can using creativity and the very little financial resources afforded to us. The project has been invaluable in providing nutritional, organic, local fruit that we can serve as is or use in cooking for our residents."
